Description:
Simulation designed for nursing students. Ryder Walsh is a 10-week-old Hispanic male infant, brought into the pediatric ED by his mother with increasing respiratory distress. The infant has had a 4-day history of fever, cough, and irritability. Over the past day, he has become more irritable, has poor feeding, and is having trouble sleeping. On arrival at the pediatric ED, he was placed in a treatment room due to respiratory distress.
